PML-N MPA Salma Butt Fight With PTI MPA Asif Mehmood

Our politicians continue to embarrass us and amaze us with their unbelievably immature behaviour and tactics that a child will have sense to avoid. In a recent incident, Salma Butt slapped Asif Mehmood after a heated exchange of words. The incident took place during an opposition protest being held outside the provincial assembly. According to the sources, opposition members came out to protest against the visit of Nawaz Sharif to India.

e opposition members began to chant slogans against the Pakistan Muslim League (N). The situation was worsened by the slapping incident that took place which instantly converted the verbal feud to an intense fight. Asif Mehmood expressed is dismay at the apparent unjustified act of Salma Butt and said that with people like these in the government position, there was no hope for the Pakistani people.

Asif Mehmood said that his party will protest against this kind of behaviour. On the other hand Salma Butt was adamantly defending her behaviour, stating that Asif Mehmood was uttering abusive words which made her slap him.

Public has reacted strongly to this incident on the social media stating that women politicians should respect their limitations and behave accordingly, while make politicians should also take care in selecting appropriate language when talking to women.
